OUR
Our product team is ever innovating toward the next technical revolution. To help us build the best boards on the market, we use a state-of-the-art custom facility in Hossegor, France and work in partnership with world-class suppliers across the globe.
PU/PE construction is a polyurethane foam blank (core) with polyester resin. This established technology is how the majority of today’s surfboards are built, due to the materials’ favourable strength to weight ratio, flex patterns, and ease of working with. PU is a closed celled foam, reducing water absorption when dinged, and resin absorption when being glassed, keeping the board light. Many surfers favour the reliable, familiar feel of PU/PE boards and their overall versatility.
We manufacture with PU technology in our Soorts-Hossegor facility, a few kilometres behind the world class beachbreaks of La Graviere, Les Estagnots and La Piste.
We use Burford Blanks, double lapped 4x4x4 Hexcel glass, Silmar polyester resin and carbon/kevlar reinforced tail patches from Colan composites. The result is beautiful, light, white surfboards with exceptional performance.
EPS (Extruded Polystyrene, commonly called Styrofoam) is an ultra lightweight foam, glassed with epoxy resin to create a light, responsive board, ideal for smaller wave conditions. Since the foam has a slightly lower resilience than a PU blank we use a stronger epoxy resin, still retaining the weight reduction over PU/PE construction. Many surfers prefer the overall feeling of EPS over PU, with extra buoyancy at a lower volume. We recommend trying out a daily driver or funformance type design in this construction, boards are used in average to below average conditions where EPS/epoxy is optimal.
We manufacture EPS ECO boards in a world-class facility in Thailand. All our suppliers are UL audited, and compliant with current standards on modern slavery, child labour and health & safety. EPS ECO board plant one tree for every surfboard produced.
As surfing performance continues to progress to all new levels, so too must the surfer’s equipment continually strive for new heights. At Euroglass, we are dedicated to being right at the cutting edge of this high performance revolution.
But rather than limit these technical advancements to professional surfers, we believe everyday wave riders should be able experience it. LC6 is our carbon laminated epoxy technology, delivering fast, light and durable surfboards mixing up our creativity and extensive technical knowledge. The results need to be surfed to be believed. Get ready to join the revolution.
